Mackenzie is a fast and easy skirt pattern that is designed for creativity and ease of construction. The pattern includes three variations, with a choice of an elastic casing or a ribbon drawstring. The skirt has a little fullness over a basic A-line skirt and that provides a margin for error in size selection, as well as a little wiggle room for comfort for little girls. Choose multiple fabrics to create a skirt with flair that any young lady will love. Mix and match prints, dots, checks, strips, etc. with solids, and embellish the seam lines by topstitching rickrack, ribbon, or both, on the seams. Create a skirt of multi-sized dot fabrics. Mix and match animal prints for a trendy skirt. Creative applications seem almost endless and many can be done after the skirt panels have been sewn so you can make decisions about embellishment as you sew. This is a pattern to use to have fun, making many choices from your scrap box and adding a touch of whimsy by using one or more one-of-a-kind pieces.
